Erdogan Reaffirms Türkiye’s Commitment to Eradicating Terrorism in Call with UAE Leader

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated Türkiye’s determination to eliminate terrorism from both the national and regional agenda as part of its ‘Terror-free Türkiye’ initiative. The statement came during a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.

Erdogan said the anti-terror efforts would continue resolutely and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in ensuring long-term stability.

President Al Nahyan welcomed Türkiye’s initiative, calling it a significant contribution to regional security, and expressed hope for its successful implementation.

During the call, Erdogan also highlighted the growing strategic partnership between Türkiye and the UAE, noting its success across various sectors—particularly in defence and emerging technologies.

He further stated that Ankara is closely following the peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, currently taking place in Abu Dhabi, and pledged continued Turkish support for efforts aimed at securing lasting peace in the Caucasus.
