Israeli Minister Reportedly Calls for Removal of Palestinians from Gaza to Establish Jewish Control

Israeli Minister: Gaza to Become ‘Entirely Jewish’ Amid Ongoing Military Campaign
Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu has made highly controversial remarks, stating that Israel is “racing against time to wipe out Gaza and its Palestinian population,” and that the territory will ultimately become “completely Jewish.”
Speaking on Kol Barama radio, Eliyahu declared, “We are eliminating this evil. We are eliminating its residents. Gaza will become completely Jewish.”
A member of the far-right Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Eliyahu also dismissed concerns over widespread hunger in Gaza, saying: “We do not need to deal with Gaza’s hunger.”
He further criticized opposition politicians, calling figures like Yair Golan and Ehud Olmert “sick people” who, according to him, “have lost their identity and support for the people of Israel.”
Since October 2023, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has killed more than 59,200 Palestinians, a majority of them women and children. The war has collapsed the health system, triggered severe food shortages, and displaced a large portion of the population.
In response to the humanitarian crisis and alleged war crimes, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last November for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
