Türkiye, Arab Nations Reaffirm Syria’s Unity, Condemn Israeli Airstrikes in Joint Statement

Türkiye and ten Arab countries have issued a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and stability, while firmly rejecting all forms of foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs.

Released by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Thursday, the statement came after a meeting of foreign ministers from Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Lebanon.

The ministers voiced strong support for the recent ceasefire agreement in Syria’s southern Sweida province, calling it a crucial step toward preserving national unity, protecting civilians, and reinforcing the rule of law.

They urged the full implementation of the Sweida accord and backed all efforts to restore security and re-establish state authority throughout the province and across Syria.

The joint statement also rejected all forms of violence, sectarianism, hate speech, and incitement, warning that such actions threaten to undermine Syria’s fragile stability.

The ministers harshly criticized Israel’s continued airstrikes on Syrian territory, describing them as blatant violations of international law and Syria’s sovereignty. They called for an immediate end to such attacks, which they said jeopardize regional peace and escalate tensions.
