Erdogan to Stocker: Chance to End Russia-Ukraine War Must Not Be Missed
Turkish president discusses Gaza, Syria, and bilateral ties with Austrian chancellor

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker not to waste the opportunity to end the Russia-Ukraine war, stressing the urgency of diplomatic efforts in a phone call on Thursday, according to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate.
During the call, Erdogan also underlined the critical need to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza without delay, calling it a top priority amid worsening conditions.
On Syria, the Turkish leader said that Ankara remains committed to fostering stability in the war-torn country and emphasized that improving social and economic conditions is key to facilitating the voluntary return of refugees.
Touching on bilateral matters, Erdogan said Türkiye and Austria should harness their full potential in trade and investment and vowed continued steps to deepen cooperation across various sectors.
