Erdogan: The Srebrenica genocide is an undeniable historical truth

Erdogan: Srebrenica genocide undeniable, global silence now echoes past inaction on Palestine
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan marked the 30th anniversary of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre by condemning efforts to deny the genocide and drawing stark parallels with today’s Israeli assault on Gaza.
In a video message, Erdogan stated that Türkiye firmly rejects any rhetoric that attempts to downplay the Srebrenica genocide or glorify war criminals, in direct defiance of international court rulings. He reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional structure.
Highlighting the continued suffering in Palestine, Erdogan said that just as the international community turned a blind eye to the atrocities in Srebrenica three decades ago, it is now once again failing to act in the face of the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
He warned that the Israeli government will ultimately be held accountable before both international law and the judgment of history for what he called the genocide of nearly 58,000 Palestinians.
