President Erdogan affirms Türkiye’s efforts to eliminate terrorism from the region’s agenda.
Erdogan to UAE Leader: Türkiye Committed to Eradicating Terrorism and Advancing Regional Peace
In a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s determination to eliminate terrorism from both the national and regional agenda as part of its “Terror-free Türkiye” initiative.
According to Türkiye’s Communications Directorate, Erdogan emphasized that this mission will continue with resolve. Al Nahyan voiced strong support, saying the initiative would bolster regional security and wished Türkiye success in the process.
President Erdogan also highlighted the strengthening strategic partnership between Türkiye and the UAE, especially in defence and emerging technologies, noting the vast potential for cooperation.
He added that Türkiye is closely watching the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks hosted by Abu Dhabi and remains committed to supporting long-term stability in the Caucasus.
