Türkiye and Qatar Activate Agreement for Global Humanitarian Collaboration
Relief pact focuses on building a unified framework to aid crisis-affected nations.

A bilateral agreement between Türkiye and Qatar, designed to strengthen cooperation in global humanitarian relief efforts, officially came into force on Monday following its publication in Türkiye’s Official Gazette after ratification by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Originally signed in Ankara on November 14, 2024, the “Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Humanitarian Assistance” aims to establish a structured and effective framework through which both nations will jointly deliver humanitarian aid to third countries in need.

The accord spans eight key sectors, each reflecting shared strategic goals between the two nations.

In addition to humanitarian assistance, the agreement also covers collaborative initiatives in document and archive management, media and communications, youth and sports development under a 2025–2026 implementation programme, international road transportation for passengers and cargo, trade facilitation, technical partnerships, and military cooperation.

Together, Türkiye and Qatar reaffirm their commitment to working side by side to support vulnerable populations worldwide through this wide-reaching cooperative framework.
