Trump Envoy Keith Kellogg Visits Ukraine to Boost Military Support, Address Russia Threats

Kiev, July 14, 2025 — Keith Kellogg, special envoy for Ukraine under US President Donald Trump, arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Monday for high-level talks focused on security, weapons, and sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian Presidential Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak confirmed Kellogg’s arrival, stating that the discussions will center on military aid, defense coordination, and stronger bilateral ties between Washington and Kiev.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a national address on Sunday evening, said he directed military officials to brief Kellogg on Russia’s military posture and Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

“The goal is to ensure the United States fully understands what is needed to push Russia toward peace,” Zelenskyy stated.

Kellogg is also expected to meet with senior Ukrainian security and intelligence officials during his stay. Talks on additional US support are set to continue throughout the week.

Meanwhile, President Trump announced on Sunday that he would authorize the delivery of Patriot missile systems to bolster Ukraine’s defenses against ongoing Russian assaults. According to Axios, the Trump administration may soon unveil a broader weapons support plan — potentially marking a major policy shift.
