This showcase coincides with Türkiye’s swift climb up the global EV rankings.
A ‘remarkable success’
According to UK-based research firm New AutoMotive, Türkiye emerged as the world’s eighth-largest market for electric vehicle sales in 2024, propelled by robust domestic manufacturing, a growing charging infrastructure, and government incentives.
In 2024, Türkiye logged 123,982 EV sales. By April 2025, it had climbed to seventh place worldwide with 11,173 units sold that month, outperforming countries like Norway and Italy and becoming the top EV market among Mediterranean nations. December 2024 stood out as a record-breaking month, with 17,894 EVs sold, ranking Türkiye sixth globally.
New AutoMotive hailed this progress as a “success story,” highlighting that battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) have consistently accounted for over 10% of Türkiye’s market share for eight straight months.
Türkiye’s rapid embrace of EVs is seen as a cornerstone of its broader green transformation efforts, with Togg playing a pivotal role in steering the country’s automotive future.
